Client Need: Americans for the Arts (AFTA) had a goal of generating public and private resources for arts and arts education. The group needed to display, query and report on the demographic data of all arts-centric organizations in the United States. iMapData Solution: The Creative Industries report, developed by iMapData, offers a research-based approach to understanding demographic data and the scope and economic importance of the arts. AFTA also uses iMapData to create custom reports detailing the positive trends of funding by displaying the increase in art-related businesses over several years as a result of increased funding. Through the use of the iMapData site, AFTA provides a visual representation of the role that arts-centric businesses play in building and sustaining economic vibrancy.
